Arcade Spotlight: Galloping Ghost in Brookfield, IL

EDIT
|

One of the best things about going to the arcades back in the '80s was token collecting. Every arcade that used tokens instead of quarters had their own design. Some bad, some good. Today's arcades usually run on quarters, and some, like the Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL. don't use either. Take a look at this installment of the Arcade Spotlight!

One of the biggest arcades in the country doesn't bother with token and quarter collecting. Instead, you pay a $15 door fee and play to your heart's content. Every machine is set on free play, so you can finally beat The Simpsons without having to spend $50. It also gives you enough time to see if you can get on their High Score Leaderboard.

And just how many arcade games and pinball machines are we talking about? Oh, over 350. That's right, they've got almost every game you could imagine. And if you want some private time, they also rent out private rooms for you and your multi-player buds.

Galloping Ghost Arcade is one of the best deals around for arcade junkies. Can someone fly me to Brookfield for a year so I can play in this arcade every day? Check out some pictures below of this badass electronic playground.
