One of my dreams is to open up an awesome retro arcade here in Los Angeles. The arcades we do have are terrible. Broken, run down machines in an environment where dirt is more welcome than customers. When my pipe dream does come true, I hope to model my arcade after Yestercades. A cool place we had to feature in this edition of the Arcade Spotlight!

If you've been avoiding New Jersey like the rest of the country, now you have a reason to finally visit. (Totally kidding, Jersey folk!) Yestercades is a really awesome retro arcade and pinball machine place with so much gaming goodness I feel like packing up my car and going on a cross country driving trip so I can see it in person.

According to their vanilla website, Yestercades had a plethora of games available to play and purchase. Seriously. They have a LOT of games. Over 75 according to their list. They also have 16 pins, including Back to the Future (which I never see anywhere), Pin-Bot, The Addams Family, and one called The Bally Game Show which I've never heard of.

Prices are a bit steep compared to other arcades, but in this day and age of crap arcades, beggars can't be choosers. An all-day pass is $25. Hourly rates are $8.75. But you are getting a lot of gaming for the price since they also have a pool table and home consoles for you to play. Plus the arcade is actually clean, which goes a long way in my book. You leave an arcade in LA, you have to run home and take a shower.
