According to a recent post on the blog of Super Meat Boy developer Edmund McMillen, his PC game The Binding of Issac might end up on iOS.

However, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is by no means a sure thing yet. While the game will be released on other platforms regardless, it "may" find a home on iOS, provided that the developers can get the new game to work properly with touchscreen controls.

According to McMillen:

Nicalis is working on the port for Ps3/Vita and PC (steam) and is also currently talking to MS and Nintendo about releasing on their platforms. we are also looking into an iOS version if its not garbage.

Between this news, working with developer Nicalis, and the recent information about a strange little project called Mew-Genics, we just hope that the guys at Team Meat are gonna stay on the ball and not stray too far from bringing Super Meat Boy to iOS.

For those that have not played The Binding of Isaac, it is an action-adventure that reminds us a bit of some weird middle-ground between The Legend of Zelda and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Each dungeon room is randomly generated and the enemies all have a consistent, grotesque cute art style to them.
