A new listing for Tomb Raider on U.K. retailer GAME's website indicated the reboot will include multiplayer.
The web listing has since been pulled, but AllGamesBeta managed to snap a picture of the listing before it was taken down. Among the key features for the new Tomb Raider was a description of the rumored multiplayer component, which would allow players to engage in a, "variety of multiplayer modes as Lara's shipmates or Yamatai's scavengers."
As Joystiq reported, this isn't the first time multiplayer has been bandied about as a possibility for Tomb Raider. Square Enix previously teased a secret announcement that would, "change the way you play Tomb Raider forever." If GAME's details end up being true (and the speed with which they were pulled gives that concept some credence), multiplayer would certainly change up the way the typically solitary adventures of Lara Croft were played.
