Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, is bringing his hit mobile RPG, Terra Battle, to major consoles.

According to Destructoid, Hironobu Sakaguchi's team at Mistwalker will soon be bringing Terra Battle to major consoles. Terra Battle recently just hit a major milestone of two million mobile downloads. Mistwalker's Download Starter (kind of like Stretch Goals based on how many people download the game), reveals that console development of Terra Battle would begin at the 2 million download mark. To celebrate, Mistwalker's audio team and composers did a live performance of Terra Battle's awesome soundtrack. Unfortunately, Mistwalker did not yet reveal which consoles we should expect for a Terra Battle release.

“We are truly humbled to see Terra Battle achieve this milestone. As every player download expanded both the scope of our game and our imagination to create a richer experience for the fans,” Sakaguchi said. “With the console game of Terra Battle underway and the next phase of the Download Starter campaign in motion, we are eager to see how the game will evolve in the coming months.”

Terra Battle is a mobile RPG that focuses on combat between a group of adventurers and various enemies. Combat is grid-based, where your characters must position themselves on opposite sides of an enemy in order to initiate attacks, which offers a puzzle-like element to the game. Stay tuned as we'll provide up-to-date coverage on Terra Battle's console version once more information is available.
