The last time a Madden launched on both current and next-gen consoles was Madden 06, which was a feature-less mess of an upgrade that lacked polish across the board. Madden NFL 25 doesn't quite herald in the next generation of football, but it is a much more competent debut.
It wouldn't be a next generation launch without an appearance from Madden NFL, and this latest trailer offers us our first look at actual gameplay from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Madden NFL 25.

NFL 25 allows you to build your own squad of gridiron gods from a roster consisting of over 1,500 actual players, and have them bash heads on both the single-player and multiplayer fields. Using a card-based system similar to that of the defunct Madden NFL Social, is Madden NFL 25 worthy of an end zone dance? Or is it one giant fumble?
