In celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Madden NFL video game franchise, EA has teamed with the legendary coach himself to put together a team of the greatest 25 players to ever appear in the game.

The full team roster will be announced over the course of the next month, but the first member has already been revealed. John Madden will be in the game as the head coach for the All-25 team, and he'll have a custom playbook designed specifically around the players selected for the commemorative roster.

While the team will only be available in Play Now mode, it's a nice honor for the players and also a great way for fans to see what would happen if classic players were on the same field as their modern contemporaries. Last year's game allowed you to play as a number of classic players from all eras of the NFL, but never on the same team together. The full team will be revealed by Aug. 10, so let us know who you think should make the cut.

Madden NFL 25 will be out Aug. 28 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions arriving later this year.
