Activision and Treyarch made Uprising official Thursday afternoon, ending speculation about the next Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 downloadable content.

Due out on April 16th for the Xbox 360 (with other platforms to follow a month later), Uprising will feature the four new multiplayer maps expected from the promotional materials (Vertigo, Encore, Magma, and Studio), as well as the Mob of the Dead Zombies map.

Vertigo takes place atop a Tacitus skyscraper. Encore features an outdoor concert venue in London. Magma's volcano comes to life, spilling lava throughout its map. Studio is indeed an homage to Firing Range, though with a bit more of an elaborate Hollywood backlot vibe. Mob of the Dead however is the most interesting aspect, as it will feature familiar faces Ray Liotta, Chaz Palminteri, Joey Pantoliano, and Michael Madsen as prohibition-era gangsters locked up in Alcatraz in the middle of a zombie outbreak.

You can enjoy your first full look at all the content coming in the add-on in the video below, and let us know which actor you'll be playing as in Mob of the Dead when Uprising hits Xbox Live.
