Neverwinter’s Control Wizards Have Situations On Lock

Neverwinter's Control Wizard class gets some love in this new trailer that shows a montage of the awesome power it wields.

As you can see from the trailer and the screenshots below, the Control Wizard is not a class to be trifled with, especially if you have an aversion to magic and are not particularly quick.

These arcane warriors aren't born with innate knowledge of magical spells, but gain them through careful study over a long period of time. Elves have been known to spend a whole century learning about magic before they even step foot into the wide world.

But once Control Mages are armed with spells, they can use them to control the battlefield by freezing enemies, slowing them down, or even repelling oncoming attackers. They also get an additional fourth Encounter power that's based on their Spell Mastery, allowing mastered spells to have bonus effects.

This class is for those who like to keep the battlefield nice and tidy to help out their friends. Just think of how much fun you could have, trolling an actual troll with a Slow Time spell! Well, it'd probably have diminishing returns, but still!
