Neverwinter to Launch Open Beta with 24-Hour Live-Stream and Charity Event
Neverwinter is set to go into Open Beta on April 30th, 2013, opening up the doors to the new Dungeons & Dragons massively-multiplayer online role-playing game to the general public. In order to kick off this momentous occasion, they've teamed up with gaming site MMODen.com for a nifty launch event.
The event is a live-stream of the game that will last for 24 hours, shown on MMODen's Twitch.tv channel. You'll get to see Limpy, MMODen.com's founder, play through the game while it's still in Closed Beta for a whole day. If you pick up a Hero of the North founders pack, you'll be able to jump into the game with him.
Prizes will be given away during this event, and everyone who follow and participate in the stream chat will be eligible to win some sweet loot. The stream will start on April 25th, 2013 at 12PM PDT and last until April 26th, 2013 at 12PM PDT.
In addition to showing off the world of Neverwinter and celebrating the launch into Open Beta, the event will also support AIDS Lifecycle, a week-long, 545 mile charity bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The stream will help support a first-time rider named Jean-Marie Kesch. You can donate to the cause directly on his personal AIDS LIfecycle Fundraising page.
And don't forget to watch the stream on MMODen's Twitch.tv channel. Will you tune in? Let us know in the comments section.
