The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Trailer: You Know How This Ends

If the Game Awards can be commended for anything, it's for having the guts to show off a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Geralt will definitely have his hands full with all manner of evil in this next sequel from CD Projekt Red. Just who or what the Wild Hunt is remains to be seen, but judging by the skull-faced dude, we're guessing it's not a very good thing for Geralt. Though it's not really shown at all in the trailer, players will also have the ability to play as another character this time around. It wasn't made clear by CDPR just who we'll play as beyond Geralt, but it's likely either Ciri, a monster-hunting protege of Geralt's, or Yennefer, a spell-flinging sorceress.

The good news is, we won't have to wait long to find out. The Witcher 3 will be out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Feb. 24.
