Everyone's favorite open-world zombie apocalypse survival game makes the jump to the next generation with State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition for the Xbox One. This enhanced port of the original State of Decay comes pack with all the updates, DLC, and niceties of the original along with a few new bonuses. New screenshots give us a look at the desolate beauty of the zombie apocalypse.
In addition to content from State of Decay's Lifeline and Breakdown DLC packs, the Year One Survival Edition will add all sorts of new goodies for players to enjoy. There will be community challenges and rewards, adding a social element to this largely single-player experience, along with a "Game DVR", which has yet to be clarified, but, based on the name, might allow players to record some of their favorite moments for posterity.
Additionally, the Year One Survival Edition adds new mission types, new vehicles and weapons, new unlockable heroes, new music from renowned video game composer Jesper Kyd, and a slew of other, smaller, improvements. And, of course, since State of Decay is being ported to the Xbox One, it's going to receive a massive graphical makeover; hopefully one that involves a montage of it trying on a lot of clothes while its friends give thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition arrives in Spring of 2015 for Xbox One.
