Sega, Capcom and Bandai Namco's massive crossover strategy RPG has been delayed until next year, but it'll be filled with all kinds of famous faces to make up for it.

Bandai Namco Games posted a new gameplay trailer for Project X Zone 2, and they've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that this strategy crossover RPG has been delayed until early 2016. The good news is that it'll feature a massive roster spanning a ton of our favorite franchises. The first Project X Zone utilized a turn-based, strategy RPG format. Its combat system was filled with combos done by some of our favorite game characters of all time. As expected, its sequel is taking this concept and taking it to the next level. We just hope there's a decent story this time around to unify this impressive roster.

This awesome RPG will feature Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil; Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima from Yakuza; Tales of Versperia's Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo; Kite and Haseo from .Hack; Vergil and Dante from Devil May Cry; Erica Fontaine and Ichiro Ogami from Sakura Wars; Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima from Tekken; X and Zero from Mega Man X; Akira Yuki and Kage Maru from Virtua Fighter; Strider Hiryu, Hotsuma from Shinobi; Natsu from Soul Calibur V; Felicia from Darkstalkers; Cody from Streets of Rage; Ulala from Space Channel 5; Phoenix Wright and plenty of other iconic characters you'll recognize.

Project X Zone 2 will crossover onto the Nintendo 3DS sometime in early 2016.
