There have been multiple reports going on throughout the fighting game community claiming that pre-loading Ultra Street Fighter IV on PlayStation 3 has been starting to cause problems with their current versions of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

Shoryuken reports that players who have pre-downloaded Ultra Street Fighter IV on PlayStation 3 and have tried to open the pre-loaded game have been finding their v2012 downloadable content add-on for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition disappearing. The game itself will revert back to the core Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and loses its v2012 DLC completely.

In order to repair this loss of the v2012 add-on, players have been uninstalling Ultra Street Fighter IV and re-installing the Super Street Fighter IV v2012 update. A few players who have re-downloaded the v2012 update without uninstalling Ultra Street Fighter IV have had varying degrees of success, with many v2012 updates simply disappearing again due to the presence of the Ultra Street Fighter IV pre-load. Capcom has yet to address the issue.

Shoryuken claims that this issue only arises for those with the original disc version of Super Street Fighter IV combined with the digital upgrade of the Arcade Edition and its v2012 update.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will first come out as a digital expansion for both the normal and Arcade Editions of Super Street Fighter IV. The digital expansion will release on June 3 for PlayStation 3 and the next day for Xbox 360. Physical and digital standalone versions of Ultra Street Fighter IV will be coming out on Aug. 8 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
