No objections here — Capcom announced they're making Phoenix Wright's sixth Ace Attorney game for the 3DS and it's officially heading West.

We're ready to head to court one more time in the next installment of the Phoenix Wright series, which is getting an official North American release for the Nintendo 3DS. Featuring the return of producer Motohide Eshiro and director Takeshi Yamazaki, we're expecting all kinds of new law-bound enhancements for your judicial battles. The last time we saw Phoenix Wright in court was in 2013's Dual Destinies game for the Nintendo 3DS. There was also a spin-off game set during the Meiji Era of Japan, which was The Great Ace Attorney. Featuring Sherlock Holmes as a co-star, we got to see Phoenix Wright's ancestor seek justice in a different era.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series first debuted for the Game Boy Advance back in 2001, and the game was eventually remade for the DS a few years later. Since then, Phoenix and the gang have had all kinds of sequels and spin-offs, including Justice for All, Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice, Miles Edgeworthy and Dual Destinies.

Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to say when we should expect Ace Attorney 6 (most likely 2016 or beyond). The sixth Phoenix Wright game is expected to be playable at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show, which is just a few weeks away. Stay tuned as we'll provide up-to-date coverage on Ace Attorney 6 once more information is available.
