Journey Music Given Violin And Costume Tribute From Taylor Davis

Taylor Davis

Austin Wintory’s Grammy nominated music from Journey is an audio swell of resonance and discovery, and violinist Taylor Davis gives the soundtrack a fitting violin tribute.

The medley features Davis, clad in Journey garb, performing the tunes “Apotheosis” and “I Was Born For This.” Her homage did not exactly come out of the blue, as she’s released a digital album with musician Lara de Wit titled Game On: 2 Player Mode, which is featured on her official site.

The collection features the pair doing their renditions of popular video game tracks, including the Assassin’s Creed 3 and Pokemon theme, as well as the heartbreaking Mass 3 Effect closer “An End, Once And For All.”

But anyways, back to Davis. After watching her Journey video, you can also click on to an interesting behind the scenes on the making of the video, which was shot by Landon Donoho.
