Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, as well as new info about the game's collector's edition and a rare red and black PS4 console.

According to Gematsu, Square Enix recently revealed all sorts of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD-related goodies at Jump Festa 2014 in Japan. This includes details about the game's Japanese collector's edition, a new trailer (in both English and Japanese) as well as a new PS4 console that has a Type-0 theme to it.

The Ultimate Box, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD's Japanese collector's edition, will be a Square Enix e-Store exclusive and costs 19,440¥ (roughly $162). The Ultimate Box includes the following items:

  • A special box themed to be like an admissions package to the school
  • “The Best of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy Agito” soundtrack CD
  • A School calendar that starts in April
  • A School ID
  • Ace’s Magic card set (five cards)
  • Scarf with Class 0 insignia

There is also a PS4 bundle that will include Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the Final Fantasy XV demo, a crimson red and black PS4 console with Type-0 brandings, a crimson red DualShock 4 and an exclusive theme for the PS4 menu. This set will cost 46,980¥ (roughly $392), and will be exclusive to Japan when the game launches there on March 19.

As for Type-0 HD's gameplay itself, it looks rather... dated. There's just something about it that makes it look like a PSP game that was released four years ago that is just being converted to slightly better graphics. Oh wait, that's exactly what it is. Of course, Square Enix is ironing out a lot of the original's kinks, but this still looks lacking for the Final Fantasy series' big debut on current-gen consoles.

Final Fantasy Typo-0 HD will launch for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 17, 2015. Stay tuned and we'll let you know if this limited edition PS4 bundle or if Type-0 HD's Ultimate Box are making the jump for a western release.
