The first-person zombie parkour experience is hitting the open road in The Following, an upcoming expansion for Dying Light.

Last week, we reported on Dying Light's six month anniversary video, which hinted towards future downloadable content that included vehicles you could ride in throughout the zombie apocalypse. Now, Techland has confirmed that it's working on a feature-filled and story-based expansion pack for Dying Light, called The Following.

“For Dying Light: The Following we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion. Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here," said Tymon Skektala, the producer of Dying Light: The Following. "We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we’ve created here. Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans.”

Unfortunately, no kind of launch window was revealed for Dying Light: The Following. This expansion will be available as a separate purchase but it will also be free for Season Pass holders. The Following will be showcased at Gamescom 2015 next month, and I'm guessing a video or trailer will be formally released sometime during the event. Nevertheless, Techland's DLC (both free and premium) has been great so far for Dying Light, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
