Be ready to venture into the bleak ruins underneath Yharnam with the addition of Chalice Dungeons to Bloodborne.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa posted details about Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeons on the PlayStation Blog. While most of your character's monster-slaying adventures will take place above ground in the dark, dank Victorian-era town of Yharnam, Chalice Dungeons will take you under the city. You will use holy chalices collected in the city to explore these ever-changing labyrinths. Every time you use a chalice to open a portal, the dungeon changes. We're not sure if they'll be procedurally created or not, but you'll still have lots of traps, demons and rewards for you to claim.

You'll be able to share Chalice Dungeons with your friends and explore their gothic, grand halls. Just make sure you keep an eye out for the dungeons' ritual masters and their protectors, because they look like tough hombres.

Bloodborne will bring darker souls to the PlayStation 4 on March 24.
