Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity DLC Expansion Coming in June

Cops returns for another season as Battlefield Hardline's first DLC expansion will help broaden the war between the police and the criminal underworld.

Battlefield Hardline's official website has announced the upcoming release of its first major DLC pack, 'Criminal Activity.' This downloadable content will feature new weapons, gadgets, maps, skins and all kinds of awesome goodies to make your police officer or criminal even more badass. This expansion will focus on a secret crime ring who have access to high tech gear and intend on terrorizing the populace. As a result, the police force is hitting them back with full... force.

Visceral Games has had it rough lately. Battlefield Hardline's launch on the Xbox One was plagued by widespread DDoS attacks, resulting in the game's numerous online features being down for the first few days of its launch. Less than two months after Hardline debuted, EA hit Visceral Games with a round of layoffs.

Here is a list of what Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity will include:

• Four fast-paced new maps – Backwoods, Code Blue, The Beat and Black Friday
• Two new rides
• Two new ammunition types for specific weapons
• A new gadget
• Three new weapons
• A nailgun battlepickup
• New Bounty Hunter game mode
• Six new masks:  two animal masks, and four new police headgear options

Battlefield Hardline: 'Criminal Activity' will debut in June first for those with a Premium membership to the game. 'Criminal Activity' will likely be available a few weeks later for non-Premium players.
