The Sims 3: Island Paradise gets some more screenshots today, following a live broadcast from The Sims 3 Store team. We also saw a logo for the what's believed to be the next expansion in the world of The Sims 3.

The screenshots show life in paradise, with days spent scuba-diving for treasure and sunken ships, sailing with your buds to desert islands, partying at resorts, and living out in the waters in a houseboat.

The expansion is vastly different from most of the others that have been released for the game to date. This is the first time that the franchise has opted to let players experience life in a tropical island and all of the trappings it entails. There's still no word on when exactly it will be released, but it's set for a June 2013 debut on PC and Mac.

In other news, a new title called The Sims 3: Dragon Valley was announced. Along with the usual additions of new Sims, locales, and items, this expansion will also let you raise a baby dragon! Considering that the franchise has already dipped into medieval territory and other fantasy elements such as witches, vampires, and wizards, dragons seem like they'd be par for the course of a new Sims expansion.
