DICE and EA revealed Star Wars Battlefront's new multiplayer mode, Drop Zone, which fans of king of the hill should appreciate.

According to Polygon, Star Wars Battlefront's Drop Zone mode takes the Empire and Rebel Alliance war and puts it in a massive match of king of the hill. The Imperial and Rebel soldiers will have to duke it out and capture/defend pods that drop from the sky in 8 vs. 8 multiplayer battles. This marks the seventh game mode revealed for Battlefront, and you're going to have to fight to defend or capture the escape pods that drop throughout the map. Drop Zone matches will be 10-minutes-long apiece, but can end early if a team has captured all five pods.

The pods you defend in Drop Zone mode actually contain power-ups that can help if you're willing to take the time to get them open. Just remember, if you're facing the door and trying to open the pod, you're at risk from being attacked by the enemy. Even worse, you could be the target of an orbital strike on the pod's location. Drop Zone will be joining the other Battlefront modes of Supremacy, Survival, Blast, and Fighter Squadron.

"We're promoting the idea of a fast, action-packed game where you need to be mobile and think on your feet," said level designer Dennis Brännvall. "Camping doesn't really pay off."

Star Wars Battlefront will debut on Nov. 17 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All versions of the game will be able to get two special maps on Dec. 8 that take place on Jakku, the planet featured in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, (hitting theaters on Dec. 18) but pre-ordering the game will let you have access to these new stages on Dec. 1. DICE and EA have also announced that Battlefront is getting an open beta starting early next month.
