Metro: Last Light is finally going to be released under the Deep Silver banner.

Deep Silver announced the game's release date today, letting the world know that Metro: Last Light will be hitting North and Latin America on May 14th, 2013 and Europe on May 17th, 2013.

Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media (Deep Silver's parent company), said, "The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary. We won’t leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves.”

The post-apocalyptic romp through a 2034 Moscow will have players fighting off hordes of mutants, toxic air, and factions of other survivors that are looking for a doomsday device (as if the world wasn't bad enough). We'll step into the shoes of Artyom and try to survive the desolation around us.
