Microsoft is getting ready for Big Boss' return with Xbox's Games With Gold offerings throughout the month of August.

The Xbox Wire has revealed what games will be free for those with an Xbox Live Gold membership throughout next month. Microsoft is properly gearing up for the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain by making Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes free all-month-long for Xbox One. That's right — it's Big Boss back when he had two arms, two legs and one eye in the events prior to him losing one of those things in The Phantom Pain. In Ground Zeroes, You'll get to play as Big Boss as he infiltrates an American base to find Paz and Chico, where stealth is a priority and CQC is a necessity. From Aug.16-Sept. 15, Xbox One users will also be able to download How to Survive. This game puts you on an island where you must survive some hungry zombies armed with only your wits and some basic tools.

For Xbox 360 players, the Metro series will be available to you. From Aug. 1-15, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download Metro 2033 for free. This game has you in the nuclear fallout-filled subways and sewers of Moscow in a post-apocalyptic world. As humanity struggles to survive in the old subways, you've got to brave the irradiated surface and scrounge up enough bullets and supplies to try to save what's left of your people. For the second half of the month, you'll be able to download Metro: Last Light, which continues the story one year after the ending of Metro 2033.

Our readers should know that you only have a few days left to download Gears of War 3 and So Many Me for Xbox 360 as well as Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for Xbox One, which were July's previous Games With Gold offerings.
