Looks like Borderlands is making the jump to next-gen, according to a new listing by the Australian Classification Board.

Joystiq reports that "Borderlands Remastered Edition" was given an MA15+ multiplatform rating by the Australian Ratings Board. The filed rating mentions Gearbox Software and 2K Australia as the authors of the game, with 2K Games as the Remastered Edition's publisher. The inclusion of 2K Australia in the filing suggests that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be included in the Remastered Edition, since 2K Australia was not involved with Borderlands 1-2.

"We have made no announcements and have nothing to state at this time," a 2K spokesperson said to Joystiq.

We're not sure how much better the cel-shaded visuals of Borderlands would look on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but we'd love to see a collection of the remastered series with their appropriate DLC packs before Gearbox officially goes to work on Borderlands 3 (you know it's inevitably going to happen).
