Black Rock Shooter Coming to PSP in North America

The PlayStation Portable is still getting game releases! Thanks to NIS America, Sony's fabulous little media lunchbox will be receiving Black Rock Shooter, a Japanese role-playing/third-person shooter game starring a mysterious girl with gravity-defying pigtails and a blazing eye.

NIS America, publishers of many cult PSP hits such as the Disgaea series, the Prinny spin-off series, and other localized JRPGs, is set to bring Black Rock Shooter to North American shores on April 23rd, 2013.

The story of Black Rock Shooter features a future in which the world has been ravaged by aliens and humanity is on the brink of total destruction. The Black Rock Shooter is a battle android created specifically to fight off the alien menace and save Earth, while protecting the last 12 humans that remain.

The game will have a blend of role-playing and third-person shooter elements, giving PSP owners a unique style of play on their handheld system.
