Move over, Old Boy and Kill Bill, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is trying to serve up an Iron Chef-quality bowl of revenge.

NIS America has posted the latest trailer for Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, and we're loving every second of it. More of a teaser than a full-fledged trailer, the video starts off with a quote. "I'll never forget. Vengeance is the only thing that keeps me going," says its protagonist, Killia (get it, "Kill-ya"?). The Disgaea series has always had a vampire-looking demon in the spotlight, and Killia is its latest antihero. His companion, the pink-haired Seraphina is described as a runaway Overlord from the Netherworld of Gorgeous (hey, it's still better than Final Fantasy's nomenclature). Usalia is a little girl with big rabbit ears who brings a massive orange penguin en tow. She's another overlord who joins Killia's group.

As for its actual gameplay, this new trailer features some intriguing combat situations. The Final Fantasy Tactics-like, grid-based combat of Disgaea has returned, and NIS is pulling out all the stops when it comes to this newest entry of the series. In zany, anime-like fashion, we see a character pick up Killia and use him to hit an enemy like he was a giant sledgehammer. We can't wait to see what else we can do when this gorgeous, over-the-top RPG comes stateside.

Be ready for the animated hilarity of Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance when it launches on PlayStation 4 on March 26 in Japan. A Western release of Disgaea 5 is in the works, and is expected to debut sometime in fall 2015.
