505 Games is working on another Sniper Elite sequel for next year, though the developer was trying to keep it a secret as long as possible.

Sniper Elite 3 was discovered by Joystiq, who found the announcement in a January financial document from 505 Games parent company Digital Bros. Rebellion is expected to develop the sequel, which is on track for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and possibly Xbox 720. There is a Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2 coming, so the third entry may also find its way to Nintendo's console as well.

505 Games was hoping the game would be kept a secret within the Italian financial community until it was ready to formally announce Sniper Elite 3, but that plan is moot now. The publisher is planning to show the game off soon, but did not disclose any more details.
