Retro City Rampage Brings the Chaos to WiiWare Next Month

Retro City Rampage

After hitting most of the major gaming platforms, Retro City Rampage is finally gracing the Wii and Wii U next month!

According to Destructoid, the 8-bit game chock full of parodies and references will be coming to WiiWare in January 2013. You’ll take control of the character named Player as your run through the streets of Theftropolis. There are nods to games and movies from the ’80s, modern pop culture, and a whole mess of fun to be had. Even some of today’s internet all-stars make appearances, like the folks from Epic Meal Time during eating challenges that test your might, in the same vein as Mortal Kombat‘s block-breaking sequences.

There’s no specific date set for the release, but January 2013 is a good enough window, considering that the month of December is almost over anyway. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re pumped for this game’s release on Nintendo’s money-making boxes!
