Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity comes out March 24th, which means a little Pokemon speculation is definitely expected, especially when Nintendo releases a pretty interesting commercial for stateside audiences.

The ad features two youths espousing the virtues of the Pokemon universe as they start to play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Their love for the game lasts an apparent lifetime, as they are still caught in Nintendo's gaming web as elderly men.

It's a cute advertisement, and rumors swirled after one of the teens was holding a Pikachu themed Nintendo 3DS XL, a version which was released last year in Europe and Japan. Could this version hit the U.S. in all its yellowed peekaboo Pikachu glory?

Nintendo squashed all the speculation, as the company released an e-mail to Siliconera saying, "On this subject, Nintendo has nothing to announce at this time. Thanks for reaching out and please let (us) know if you have any other questions."
