Finally official, the Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL will be coming to the U.S. on March 24th.

Announced on the official Pokemon site, the limited edition 3DS XL will come with a 4GB SD memory card, and retail for $199.99. It doesn't come bundled with any games, but does release on the same day as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, making March 24th one heck of a day for Nintendo fans.

Though there are no games included, anyone who purchases the Pikachu 3DS as well as one of the two games above will be able to register for one of five free games from Nintendo. The games included in the offer are Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D, and Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!

This isn't the first time Nintendo has released a themed 3DS this year, as Fire Emblem: Awakening also received one earlier in 2013 (which you can enter to win for free right now). It would have been nice to see another Pokemon get a shot at its own handheld (like Charizard did in Japan), but Pikachu is still immensely popular so it makes sense.

What do you think of the new 3DS XL?
