The next Xbox is sure to be a big hit, and Microsoft has an event planned to announce their latest and greatest. Has an event date finally been revealed?

Following up on our story from a few days ago, Microsoft's planned April reveal for the Xbox 720, or Durango, or whatever the hell they're calling this thing, has been scrapped, with May being the likely announce date. But when in May?

The Verge reports that May 21st will likely be the planned event day. Windows reporter Paul Thurrott had revealed the date in his latest What the Tech episode on YouTube.

This will more than likely be a specs reveal, focusing on the power of the system and what platform it will run on (Windows 8). The full reveal will likely be at E3, which is taking place June 11th-13th in Los Angeles. We'll have more on this planned event once Microsoft officially announces the date.
