Another day, another exclusive pre-order bonus; GameStop has released a trailer for its pre-order bonuses for Halo 5: Guardians. Power to the pre-orders, we guess.

As a deuteragonist of Halo 5: Guardians, Locke will probably be playable for a good chunk of the campaign, but his armor set will only be available in multiplayer for those who pre-order (or, possibly, those who shell out a few bucks down the line once the pre-order bonuses go up as paid DLC). Halo 5's story revolves around a Locke versus Chief dynamic, with the newbie hunting the wayward warrior while humanity battles it out against its newest threat.

Given that Locke has to compete for screen time with one of video games' greatest icons, he'll need every cool trick he can get lest players curse him like they cursed Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2. This new video of him in action is pretty cool, though his official description doesn't exactly inspire confidence— "Locke a competent soldier who approaches combat situations with caution and logic and inspires loyalty in those under his command. However, he is troubled by some aspects of the organization he serves under." Gee, that sounds like... well, damn near any cliche FPS experience we can think of.

The actor who portrayed Locke in the Halo: Nightfall webseries, Mike Colter, also provided the voice and motion capture work for him in Halo 5: Guardians, so, at the very least, we can expect a performance from someone who really understands the character.

Halo 5: Guardians arrives on October 27th, exclusively for Xbox One.
