It's only been days since Phil Harrison left Microsoft. Now, Harrison announced his own gaming firm, which will be working closely with the big M on some secret projects.

In an interview with GamesIndustry, former corporate vice president of Xbox Europe Phil Harrison, a 30 year vet in the gaming industry, has announced the creation of Alloy Platform Industries, his own video game company. Harrison reveals that the name itself is just a filler title before its official unveiling, which will likely be related to its main, debut project. While many believe that Harrison left due to Phil Spencer being promoted to head of Xbox over him, they are both amicable friends and colleagues in real life. On top of that, Harrison revealed that Alloy Platform Industries will be working closely with Spencer and Xbox in its main project, which was yet to be revealed. Unfortunately, Harrison was unable to shed some light on what this project actually is. We have a feeling that the real name of Harrison's company will likely have to do with the project. Could it be some sort of Xbox answer to the Project Morpheus VR headset?

"We're definitely in the same neighborhood, probably on the same street, but probably not the next door house, if that makes any sense, but clearly related," Harrison said. "You know, the things that interest me and stimulate me are how technology and entertainment and people intersect. Think of those as three circles with a Venn diagram with an intersection in the middle."

Harrison revealed that he has been consulting with Spencer and Xbox for the past year in preparing this project, and it will be some kind of collaborative effort between Microsoft and the new company. Stay tuned as we'll provide up-to-date coverage on this secret project once more information is revealed.
