The first trailer for the PS4 version of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster has hit the Internet, and those who still haven't jumped into Spira will soon have their newest chance to do so.

The trailer mostly consists of cutscenes from the two games, so technically this video is made of things we've all seen before. However, any Final Fantasy fan gets a shiver up their spine when they hear the familiar piano tones of 'To Zanarkand' like the beginning of the trailer, and hearing just the first note commands your attention. Smart move, Square Enix.

In case you're unfamiliar with these two games, Final Fantasy X tells the tale of Tidus, a young sports star in the land of Spira who finds himself as a protector of Summoner Yuna, who is tasked with deflecting the malevolence of a giant monster called Sin. Final Fantasy X-2 takes place in X's aftermath, as Yuna tries to reunite with her long lost friend/love Tidus. There's over 200 hours of gameplay here, so if you plan to see what the fuss is about, you'd better be prepared to buckle down.

Now that this remaster is finally coming to PS4, perhaps Square Enix can focus their attention on bringing other Final Fantasy games up to date. We're sure there's another entry in the series out there that fans would love to relive in a new way, maybe even two of them. Keep the classic FF goodness coming Square, we're more than happy to replay these wonderful games.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster makes its way to PlayStation 4 on May 12.
