Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara Will Roll For Initiative SoonJohn Llewellyn Martin |
Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara has just been announced as the latest title to get a remastered version. This double pack will include Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow of Mystara, giving everyone some classic action role-playing fun without the need for dice!
This HD update of two arcade classics promises a great ARPG experience for 1-4 players, allowing for seamless online gameplay with drop-in and drop-out functionality.
Chronicles of Mystery packs the original arcade modes for the two games and new House Rules that can enhance a session with different stipulations. For example, Unbreakable mode will allow equipped items to have infinite durability and never break. Enemy Rush is a Time Attack Mode that counts down from 30-second time which is increased by killing enemies.
A Challenge System will provide plenty of goals for players to attain, which will reward them with Vault Coins that unlock gameplay loot and other goodies.
One cool multiplayer feature is the Character Visualizer, which tracks which characters that players use the most and then balances teams accordingly.
Since the game will make it onto the Wii U, the GamePad will be utilized for spellcasting and item selection. This will truly be a classic arcade experience built for the modern gaming era.
The digital release for Chronicles of Mystara is slated for a June 2013 release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Check out the trailer and screenshots below to see this double pack in action!
