Dominic Cooper Terrified of Meeting Expectations on 'Warcraft' Film

Tony Stark's dad from 'Captain America: The First Avenger' chimes in about the stresses and expectations of the 'Warcraft' film's preexisting fanbase.

Dominic Cooper is no stranger to video game-based feature films. Being one of the lead roles in EA's 'Need for Speed' film, Cooper has recently told CVG that he understands the difficulty movie studios must face when it comes to meeting the expectations of a game franchise's fans.

"That's scary, because that's a very specific world, so that really does have people who exist in that world and probably live more of their life in that world than they do in the real world, which is terrifying in itself," he said, acknowledging the addicted-like dedication people have had in World of Warcraft.  "But what that means is there have been people creating that world for many years and it's got a very specific look, and the characters within that, people have already made their minds up about who they are and what they mean to them."

'Warcraft' is due for a 2016 theatrical release and will star Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky and Paula Patton.
