Good news for Diablo III players on Xbox 360 hoping to switch over to the Ultimate Evil Edition on PS4 and vice-versa, because Blizzard is offering cross-platform save imports.

Blizzard is going to give players the ability to bring their characters and gear from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Diablo III to the Ultimate Evil Edition on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Destructoid reports. While we already knew that Xbox 360 saves would transfer over to the Xbox One and likewise going from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, Blizzard added a great feature that will allow cross-platform save imports. This means that Xbox 360 users can move their saves over to PS4 and PS3 users can do the same to Xbox One.

Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer your characters between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and it is likely the same for switching between current-gen consoles. Also, there is still no way for PC gamers to move their characters over to any of the console versions.

You can move your characters by linking your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag to a Battle.net account. Be ready to wage war against Malthael when Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition launches on Aug. 19 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
