BEYOND: Two Souls Stars Willem Dafoe; Release Date Revealed
You might remember Willem Dafoe from his role in The Boondock Saints, as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, and other movies, but now you're going to see him gloriously rendered in BEYOND: Two Souls. A new trailer shows us what he'll be doing in the upcoming Quantic Dreams game.
The trailer is a little on the short side, but certainly gives off a moody atmosphere. We see a young Jodie Holmes, who's later played by Ellen Page, as she steps into an office. The office belongs to Willem Dafoe's character, Nathan Dawkins, is a government scientist whose job is to analyze Jodie's powers.
Jodie's got a psychic link to an entity she calls Aiden, which is depicted in the drawing shown in the trailer below. The action flashes forward to the future, since we're meant to play through 15 years of Jodie's life, and gives us a peek at Dawkins trying to track down Jodie while warning people about how dangerous she is.
A brief interview and behind-the-scenes video is also shown below, giving us a look at Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe mocapping and having conversations that are rife with emotion. This shows us the relationship between the two characters, which is a mixture of love and perhaps something a little more underhanded.
The end of the behind-the-scenes vid lets us know that GameStop will offer pre-order incentives in the form of an Exclusive Additional Scene downloadable content and a free upgrade to the Special Edition of the game.
According to the post on the PlayStation Blog, the Special Edition will include:
- Exclusive Steelbook Premium Packaging
