The adventure game gurus at Quantic Dream are bringing the beloved Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls to PlayStation 4.

The European PlayStation Blog has announced that Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain are heading to PlayStation 4. After a couple of European video game retail sites inadvertently listed a PlayStation 4 version of Beyond: Two Souls last year, it should be no surprise that Willem Dafoe and Ellen Page would bring their motion capture adventures to Sony's current-gen console. What's surprising is that the story of the Origami Killer, Heavy Rain, will be heading to PlayStation 4 as well. Both games will be initially available as standalone, digital downloads and will eventually be coupled together in a physical and digital bundle. Quantic Dream notes that you'll be able to watch Jodie's journey in Beyond: Two Souls unfold in chronological order, letting you watch her story unfold from her perspective, instead of the game's events being told in a Tarantino-like fashion.

In Beyond: Two Souls, you follow Jodie (played by Ellen Page), who has a link to an incorporeal entity named Aiden. Jodie has supernatural powers because of her otherworldly bond and Nathan Dawkins (played by Willem Dafoe) is Jodie's father figure and one of the chief researchers of her powers. As you would expect, things take a bizarre turn as you're able to switch between Jodie and Aiden whenever you'd like. Heavy Rain tells the story of the Origami Killer, focusing on those investigating the case.

Other than a cryptic "coming soon" message, there is no word on when we should expect both games on PlayStation 4. Furthermore, these games were only confirmed for a PlayStation 4 re-release in Europe, but we have a feeling we'll soon get an official announcement for its North American release. The re-release was probably announced for Europe because Quantic Dream is based in Paris, France.
