XCOM Soldiers to be in Civilization 5 Expansion

Firaxis' Civilization 5: Brave New World expansion will include plenty of new content, including a surprise cameo from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

During a panel at PAX East, Firaxis revealed the news that XCOM soldiers would be recruitable forces players could use in "Brave New World." According to Polygon, the XCOM units replace the elite paratrooper on the top of the new tech tree. The new, powerful soldiers are also capable of moving 40 tiles per turn. Fortunately, they'll be tough to attain, but the effort to unlock the XCOM units appears to be well worth the investment.

Additionally, it was revealed during PAX East that "Brave New World" would be out on July 9th on PC. There is no Mac date as of yet, but hopefully the wait won't be too long for this content-heavy expansion.
