Eccentric and prolific game director Suda51has a few projects in the works, but detailed his untitled next game with GungHo in a recent interview.

Though we already know a bit about Killer is Dead, Suda51 is also working on another mysterious new action game with Grasshopper Manufacture's new owner GungHo. Few details about this futuristic title have been revealed, though some of the key art featured the tag line, "What the hell are you looking at?" It's not a lot to go on, so Edge took some time to seek Suda out to learn more.

The game will feature designs from No More Heroes artist Yusuke Kazaki, and is an entirely new IP. "Of course it’s an action game and it’ll be on console platforms. We’re considering various console platforms right now,” Suda said, adding the developer was looking into both current and next-gen platforms. "Naturally we are interested in developing games for the next-gen platforms. We are investigating the specs and all that right now.”

As for what sets this new game apart, Suda indicated it would have some unique online functionality that hasn't been seen anywhere before. "This is a title that GungHo Japan and Grasshopper Manufacture is working on together collaboratively so there will be an online feature, because that’s their forte and what they specialise in," Suda stated. "On the simplest level it will be social, but the word social is used and misinterpreted a lot these days. GungHo has over ten years of experience in providing online gaming services so that is their strength.”

Hopefully we'll learn more about this new title later this year, but for now we're more than content to let Grasshopper focus its attention on Killer is Dead. That said, speculation has already indicated this 2014 title could be feature Shinobu from No More Heroes, which is definitely something we can get behind.
