A few new videos have been posted this week for Star Trek: The Video Game, highlighting the game's story and how it fits between the first and second film, and then introducing us to the stars of the films who lend their voices to give the game more authenticity.

The first video shows how the game was crafted to become the most authentic Star Trek game ever created by recreating every detail from the movie. This includes getting the layout of the Enterprise just right and even bringing on some of the actors from Star Trek: Into Darkness to reprise their roles.

The second video focuses on the original story in the game and how it's become canon, filling in the events between the two films. It focuses on Kirk and Spock, Vulcans trapped on a space station, and a device called the Helios Machine that creates a rip in space. Any more and we'd be spoiling!

Watch the videos below and let us know what you think of Star Trek: The Video Game and whether or not you're excited to play the game and watch the movie.

The game will be released on April 23rd, 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
