Terra Battle Launches Next Week for iOS and Android

The creator of Final Fantasy's new, free-to-play tactical RPG has gotten the green light for its digital launch.

Mistwalker has announced that Hironobu Sakaguchi's Terra Battle, is gearing up to debut on the iOS and Android formats, Destructoid reports. Hironobu Sakaguchi is the creator of the Final Fantasy series. He directed many of our favorite entries of the series and has written many of their stories as well. Inspired by Shogi, a chess-like game played in Japan, Sakaguchi's Terra Battle focuses on intuitive, grid-based RPG combat which experiments in ways we've never seen before.

Terra Battle will launch on Oct. 9 for the iOS and Android formats and is going to be free-to-play. Here is Mistwalker's latest gameplay video showcasing Terra Battle's equipment, skill and combat systems:
