Mysterio strikes as The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Xbox One release has been pulled by Activision.

MCV has reported that any signs of the Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have been completely removed from the game's official website. Activision has also confirmed the indefinite postponement of the game's Xbox One release and have not provided any sort of reasoning for the game's delay or its cancellation. The company's official statement towards the subject was even more cryptic since it did not specify whether The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was actually being cancelled or delayed for Xbox One.

“We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One,” Activision confirmed in a recent release schedule update. “When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.”

This is bad news for Xbox One fans hoping to wall-crawl their way with Peter Parker in a next-gen setting. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is still slated for a friendly, neighborhood release on Apr. 29 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
