Wargaming.net to Bring World of Tanks Blitz to Mobile Platforms

World of Tanks, the successful multiplayer strategy game from Wargaming.net, will be headed from the desktop to mobile platforms. The new version for iOS and Android, titled World of Tanks Blitz, has been tailor-made for mobile devices and won't be a direct port of the PC game.

According to a report from 148apps, Wargaming.net has designed World of Tanks Blitz to "rival anything" that players could find on a console. Those are some lofty claims, but we'll have to see where they go with that.

For starters though, Wargaming.net has said that players will be able to use their old Wargaming.net IDs to access the Android and iOS versions. At face value, this seems like it will lead to an imbalance for gamers new to the franchise. But we will have to wait and see.

As of now, there's no specific release date, but we will keep an eye out for more information.
