Final Fantasy

A German woman was recently stabbed to death with a katana in Munich, Germany. The German press has seen fit to blame the murder on Final Fantasy, since the alleged killer has photos in which he cosplays, "his favorite Final Fantasy character."

Have you seen the Square Enix website lately? It looks like something is going down. It wasn't that long ago that Square Enix announced Final Fantasy IV for iOS, signalling that they had the App Store in their sights. Call us crazy, but we think that Square will have some big Final Fantasy news to deliver this Thursday.

If you've been waiting a long time for Final Fantasy IV (better known stateside as Final Fantasy II for the SNES), to show up on the App Store, you won't have to wait much longer. That's right, Square Enix has just announced that the epic tale of Cecil and Co. will be released to iOS devices everywhere on December 20.

Square-Enix is no stranger to the App Store. The gaming company has plenty of titles out there and they all sell reasonably well. But, like a number of other Japanese titles, they can be quite pricey compared to a lot of their freemium brethren. However, this might change a bit soon.
