SongPop Adds Alanis Morissette and Enrique Iglesias

SongPop has added Alanis Morissette and Enrique Iglesias playlists to the music trivia game. This new content comes courtesy of The Collective, the entertainment management, media and content company who made the deal with SongPop creators FreshPlanet according to a press release today. Here's why adding these artists to SongPop is huge news:

SongPop is a name-that-tune trivia game that made both our 10 Best Music Games and 10 Best Trivia Games lists. Players try to identify songs in a shorter amount of time than their opponent. There are many top artists already in SongPop, including Aerosmith, Guns n’ Roses, Michael Jackson, Coldplay and Lady Gaga. By now, competitive gamers have probably played through all the songs already, so any new music is good. Morissette and Iglesias also represent competitive edges for serious SongPop players.

You can probably recognize Alanis Morissette's voice within a nanosecond of her song. However, unless you're a die hard Iglesias fan, he might be a stumper, so put his playlist on an unsuspecting online iOS gamer and he'll be your secret weapon. These two artists represent diverse musical tastes for SongPop. Hopefully it's a sign to come of more A-list artists getting their own SongPop playlists.
