We couldn't consider EA Sports UFC to be the upper echelon of MMA unless there was a Gracie involved.

EA Sports has announced that Royce Gracie, one of the most influential names in the history of mixed martial arts, has been officially added to the roster of EA Sports UFC. MMA enthusiasts will recognize Royce as a member of the UFC's Hall of Fame, the holder of the most consecutive submission wins in UFC history and as the tournament winner of UFC 1, 2 and 4. Personally, we remember Royce Gracie for the legendary stalemate he had against Ken Shamrock in UFC 5.

This figurehead of the world-renowned Gracie family is being added to the official roster of EA Sports UFC. Players can unlock Royce by finishing the game's single player campaign mode on the Pro difficulty or higher. Pre-ordering EA Sports UFC at Gamestop will allow you to have day-one access to Royce Gracie as an exclusive bonus. Hopefully, Kazushi Sakuraba gets added to this UFC roster to make things really interesting.

Be prepared for Royce's return to the ring when EA Sports UFC opens the Octagon on June 17 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
