Race the 2014 Corvette Stingray in Gran Turismo 5 for Free

Chevrolet's latest awe-inspiring automobile may cost tens of thousands of dollars, but you can drive one for free in Gran Turismo 5 starting Jan. 15th.

The 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray is a beautiful piece of machinery, and it's not likely many of you will ever be able to get behind the wheel of one in the real world. Thankfully, Polyphony Digital has teamed with Chevy to provide its players with the first access to the American sports car in Gran Turismo 5. To make things even better, the downloadable content will be available for free.

According to Chevrolet, the new Corvette, which only debuted on Sunday, will "provide an estimated 450 horsepower and 450 ft. lbs. of torque, is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in less than four seconds and will achieve more than 1g in cornering grip. It will also be the most fuel-efficient Corvette ever, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 MPG of the current model."
